Video Transcript: Dean Hart, New Building

Well, the landscape of communication is surely changing because of the rise of the new media 
throughout the world.  And I'm happy to say, I'm delighted to say, that the landscape at 
The University of Texas at Austin is also going to change because of the generosity of the 
Belo Foundation and the Decatur-Maroney families.  Thirty years ago when this complex was built, 
it was described as the finest facilities for the study of communication in the United States, 
and because of this new gift we're going to be able to make that statement once again. This is 
going to be the place where anyone who wants to seriously study communication is going to 
want to come.
