Digital Media Production Labs
The Digital Media Labs are available only to students who are currently enrolled in courses in the College of Communication.
Access to workstations is by first-come, first-served reservation only.
Facilities
The labs feature:
- Adobe Design and Production Suites
- Final Cut Pro Studio
- Avid Media Composer
- card readers
- stylus tablets
- film and flatbed scanners
- DV/HDV video decks
- TV monitors for video color correction
- headphone jacks for up to 4 users per station
CMA 4.144 contains classes and open lab times. Helpsheets are available on the Wiki.
CMA 4.142 and CMA 4.138 are full-time student labs. Helpsheets are available on the Wiki.
CMA 4.140 is an audio suite used for recording of voice-overs, group panels, etc. The Broadcast Journalism Radio News program has special reservations during the taping of their shows.
Media Duplication
The DML enables you to duplicate a wide variety of media formats. Equipment is available at a first-come, first-serve basis. Staff and handouts are on hand to help get you going.
Hours of Operation:
- M-Th 8:00AM - 10:00PM
- Fr 8:00AM - 5:00PM
- Sa 12Noon - 5:00PM
- Su 12Noon - 10:00PM
Students should bring:
- headphones
- DV tape (SONY BRAND ONLY!)
- a firewire or USB hard drive for media storage.
