If you lead a non-profit organization, issue-advocacy group or are interested in a position of public leadership, your goal is to get your message heard by the people you need most. But cutting through the noise of the 24-hour news cycle, online blogosphere and crowded issue field requires a message that resonates, and a speaker and message that is disciplined, sharp and effective.
That’s why the Annette Strauss Institute for Civic Participation is pleased to announce a new training program, “Advocacy, grassroots and campaign communication: getting your message heard.” In line with the mission of the Institute to encourage conscientious civic engagement, this training will help individuals driven by a passion to improve their community and their country, rise above the noise to get heard, make their point and win the fight.
