Staff Excellence Award

Qualifications

Every year the College of Communication recognizes two outstanding members of the staff that who excel in or go beyond their job descriptions. Nominations may be made by anyone except members of the Staff Excellence Committee. Those selected receive a $1,000 cash award and will be recognized at the College of Communication Honors Day Ceremony in April. They also will serve on the College's Staff Award Committee for three years.

To be eligible for nomination, the staff member must meet the following criteria:

1. The nominee must be a current classified staff member in a College of Communication department or administrative unit.
2. The nominee must be employed at least 50% time or more.
3. The nominee must have been employed at least two (2) years with the College.
4. The nomination form and a minimum of three (3) letters of endorsement must be received by the Award Committee for a nominee to be considered. Please give specific examples. Contact the Award Committee Chair if you need to verify receipt of necessary letters.

Nominations may be addressed to the Staff Excellence Award Committee in care of Susanne Kraft, CMA 6.118, A0800. Nominations may be made at any time during the year, but must be received by Friday, February 26.
