“ABC’s World News Now” broadcasts story from ABC News on Campus Bureau

AUSTIN, Texas -- Oct. 10 -- A student-produced news story about the political sign controversy on The University of Texas at Austin campus was broadcast nationally on “ABC News’ World News Now.”

The story, which ran overnight Oct. 9, was reported by University of Texas at Austin ABC News on Campus bureau chief Sara Loeffelholz, a broadcast journalism senior in the School of Journalism. Joseph Millares, a broadcast journalism senior, was the story videographer and editor.

The University of Texas at Austin ABC News on Campus bureau was established this fall to educate and mentor talented college students. It is one of five university bureaus at journalism programs across the country.

Hosted by Jeremy Hubbard and Vinita Nair, “ABC’s World News Now” highlights the top news of the day, with original feature segments and reports covering technology, law, business and humor. It airs Mondays through Fridays on ABC.
