Regent Barnhill to Address College of Communication Fall Graduates
AUSTIN, Texas – Nov 27, 2007- University of Texas System Regent John W. Barnhill Jr. (BJ ’59) will deliver the keynote address at the College of Communication fall convocation ceremony.
Barnhill was appointed to The University of Texas System Board of Regents in November 2003, where he is chairman of the Facilities Planning and Construction Committee, and serves on the Student, Faculty and Staff Campus Life Committee. He is the retired executive vice president of Blue Bell Creameries in Brenham, Texas.
He earned his bachelor of journalism from the College of Communication and is a past president of the alumni organization, the Texas Exes.

This fall, 302 students will receive their bachelor’s degree, 64 students will receive their master’s degree and 15 students will receive their doctoral degree from the College of Communication.
