Radio-TV-Film professor pens article for New York Times Magazine

AUSTIN, Texas -- Radio-TV-Film Professor Thomas Schatz wrote an article for the Nov. 11 issue of the New York Times Magazine.

This week’s theme, “Hollywood Goes West,” features articles about The Hollywood Western film. Schatz’s article, “Cowboy Business,” explores not only how the western played a vital role as a popular narrative form, but also how it shaped the business of filmmaking.
