
The Jesse H. Jones Communication Center is the home of the College of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin. The college is made up of the Departments of Advertising, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Communication Studies, Radio Television Film, and the School of Journalism. There are three buildings in the center. The CMA Building houses college classrooms, department, faculty and administrative offices. CMB Building houses college studio space, KUT radio and KLRU public television. And the CMC building houses Texas Student Publications, the Daily Texan, KVRX Student Radio and KVR-TV. Also a plaza for outdoor use is bounded on three sides by College buildings.

The College is located in the northwest portion of the main campus on the corner of Guadalupe and Dean Keeton streets and is within easy walking distance to the rest of the university.

The lobby renovation is a student initiative that was put into action last semester by the Dean’s Office. The renovated space is a welcoming space that allow students, faculty and staff to meet, socialize and work in groups. The new arrangement facilitates collaboration more effectively.
There are MacBook laptops available for checkout at CMA’s 3rd floor service desk. They are available to current UT faculty and staff and to any student enrolled in classes for the current semester. You must present a valid UT ID card at time of checkout. The laptops are dual-boot - meaning they can either come up in Mac OS X or into Windows XP when you turn them on. You choose

Information Technology Services (ITS) has printing services are available at the 3rd floor service desk. There are 2 black and white printers and one color. Go to this ITS website to get started.
ITS, in cooperation with many departments on campus, provides members of The University of Texas at Austin community with access to the Internet and university computing resources. The Public Network provides wireless and wired access to the Internet in public campus areas (many offices also now have wireless Internet access using the Public Network).
