Internal Transfer Orientation
Accepted and confirmed students who are new to the College of Communication must attend a mandatory orientation session. The session will cover important academic policies that are unique to the College of Communication. There will be a chance to meet the Student Deans and Academic Advisors and receive specific information about each department and its degree requirements. You must RSVP for a morning or afternoon orientation session; each lasts about 2.5-3 hours.
You will receive an advising bar and will not be able to register if you do not attend this mandatory orientation session.
The next orientation will be held on Monday, August 24, 2009. Accepted students will receive detailed information via email. Any questions about orientation should be directed to the Internal Transfer Coordinator.
Students who are changing their major from one Communication field to another, or are adding a second Communication major (for example, a Journalism student who has been approved to double major in Communication Studies) are not required to attend and will not be asked to RSVP.
Please note: Internal Transfer Orientation is only for students who have been accepted to the College of Communication via Internal Transfer. Students who are interested in transferring into Communication should attend an Internal Transfer Information Session for information about the College of Communication.
