"Hot Science, Cool Talks," a panel discussion on the effectiveness of UT's novel lecture series takes place April 2
Senior Fellows -- the College of Communication's honors program -- will host "Hot Science, Cool Talks," a panel discussion on the effectiveness of the Environmental Science Institute's "Hot Science, Cool Talks" outreach series. The "Hot Science, Cool Talks" series works to foster appreciation and understanding of science through lectures, webcasts, games and demonstrations. It is free and open to the public.
Kris Wilson, a senior lecturer in the School of Journalism, will serve as moderator. Panelists include Jay Banner, professor and Dave P. Carlton Centennial Fellow in Geology at the Jackson School of Geosciences and director of the Environmental Science Institute; and LeeAnn Kahlor, assistant professor in the Department of Advertising and Public Relations; and Chris Kirk, associate professor in the Department of Anthropology.
