Conference Promotes Academic Excellence in Global Media and International Communication Studies, Oct. 16-18
Event: Scholars, professionals, students, and those interested in media and communication in global context will convene at The University of Texas at Austin to participate in the annual Global Fusion Media and Communication Conference.
This year's theme, New Directions in Global Media and International Communication, will feature panel discussions about a wide range of issues such as new media immigration and transitional flow, reflections on identity and communities in a global world and electronic media in international conflict, among many other topics.
When: Oct. 16-Oct. 18, 2009
Where: The University of Texas at Austin
Background: The purpose of Global Fusion is to bring together scholars, professionals, students, and the public to engage in discussion about different topics related to global media. Schools including The University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M University, Ohio University and Southern Illinois University sponsor the conference.
