Texas Broadcasters Meeting, Feb. 5
Event: Texas Broadcasters, the student arm of the Radio Television News Directors Association (RTNDA), is hosting its first meeting of the spring semester. The event is open to any students interested in learning more about the broadcast industry, making valuable contacts and getting hands-on experience.
This semester, Texas Broadcasters will emphasize the importance of networking, resume writing and tapes, as well as hear from professionals in the broadcast field.
When: 5:30-6:30 p.m., Feb. 5
Where: CMB 4.132
Background: The RTNDA has student chapters at 41 colleges and universities. Founded in 1987, RTNDA’s Student Chapter Affiliate Program fosters closer cooperation and improves communication among students, educators and working professionals in radio, television and online news. It also gives student members special learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom and instills a commitment to the highest ideals and principles of the practice of electronic journalism.
