Deadline to Apply for 2009 Senior Gift Task Force, Nov. 26
Event: Are you interested in giving back to the College of Communication? If so, the College of Communication Senior Gift 2009 Task Force — comprised of students in any degree plan and drawn from any class level in the college — needs you.
When: Applications are due by 5 p.m., Nov. 26, 2008
Where: Communication Council President Megan Elise Ortiz’s mail box in room CMA 3.111
Background: The Senior Gift for any graduating class is a great opportunity to uphold your investment in the College of Communication. Leaving an institution where we’ve spent the past few years, seniors will reflect on where exactly UT will be in five, 10 or maybe even 50 years down the road. A wish to see success in the future requires a commitment now.
The Senior Gift, created by the class of 2007, is the commencement of a life-long connection not only to The University of Texas at Austin, but a connection to the college that shaped our collegiate life. The duty of this Task Force is to brainstorm ideas for the creation of this event, as well as implement this campaign during the spring 2009 semester.
Please complete the following prompts, typed on a separate sheet of paper:
Your name, major and year within the College of Communication
Explain your interest in serving the college on this task force.
Explain your current conception of the purpose of the Senior Gift.
List specific ideas you wish to bring to the table for the success of Senior Gift 2009.
