Event: Charles Morris, associate professor of Communication Studies at Boston College, will present “Hard Evidence: The Vexations of Lincoln’s Queer Corpus.”
When: 2-3:30 p.m., Oct. 30, 2007

Background: Morris’ careful and eloquent writing about the presence of queer voices, themes and silences in political discourse places him on the cutting edge of the field. He is currently finishing a book about Abraham Lincoln and the ways that academic and popular controversy has swirled around his ambiguous sexuality.
