Journalism Town Hall Meeting, Oct. 1
Event: Journalism Town Hall meeting for students interested in applying to an upper division area.
When: 5:30 to 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 1
Where: BUR 216
Background: During this meeting, we'll talk about applying to an upper-division area, as well as getting some inside scoop from all the different area heads. Upper-division applications will be available on-line beginning on Monday, September 24th and will be due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5th. You should plan to attend the Town Hall Meeting and plan to apply for acceptance into an upper-division area of study if you will meet all of the following minimum requirements by the END of the FALL 2007 semester:
• Have 60 or more hours of college credit
• Be eligible to enroll in upper-division courses in the College of Communication (Overall 2.25 GPA and 2.0 GPA in the College of Communication)
• Have taken and passed both the GSP (45) and WP (29) tests
• Have completed J 310 with a grade of C or higher
• Have J 315 (completed with a grade of C or higher or currently enrolled); and
• For those applying to photojournalism, have J 316 (completed with a grade of C or higher or currently enrolled).
