The 7th International Symposium on Online Journalism

Journalists from around the globe will converge on Austin to discuss the state of Online Journalism. April 7-8.

What: Once again, journalists and academics from around the globe will converge on Austin to discuss the current state of online journalism as part of the 7th International Symposium on Online Journalism.

Since 1999, editors, producers, executives and academics have gathered at The School of Journalism to discuss the evolution of this new genre of journalism. The Symposium is a small, but very intense, conference that serves as a barometer for the state of online journalism. The first day of this two-day event features panel discussions among those in the journalism industry, while the second day is devoted to research on online journalism.

Panelists this year come from news organizations around the world, including The London Daily Telegraph and ElTiempo.com of Colombia.
