You must have an overall UT GPA of at least 2.25 and a Communication GPA of at least 2.0 in order to be considered for transfer into the College.
In addition, you must also meet the requirements for the major to which you are applying.
To be eligible to apply for transfer into the Advertising major you must either be currently enrolled in or have completed ADV 318J with a B or better. If you are currently enrolled in the course, your grade will be checked at the end of the semester.

Priority is given to applicants who have already successfully completed some CMS coursework.
Priority is given to applicants who have already successfully completed some CSD coursework.
Students are advised to be currently enrolled in (or have completed) J310 before applying; however, this is NOT required to apply to transfer into Journalism.
To be eligible to apply for transfer into the Public Relations major you must either be currently enrolled in or have completed ADV 318J with a grade of B or better. If you are currently enrolled in the course, your grade will be checked at the end of the semester.
