All UT communication students are eligible to register with CCS.
We recommend registering with CCS as soon as you become a student in the College of Communication. Whether you enter the college as a freshman or as a transfer, as an undergraduate or as a graduate student, it is never too early to start thinking about and planning for your career.
Through this registration process, you receive login information for our password-protected resources including CareerSource and the Plunkett Online Library, you become eligible to apply for CCS grant funding, and you become eligible to receive career advisement from CCS professional staff.

CCS registration and services are available to UT Communication alumni for a fee of $30 for four months.
Alumni Services payments may be made with cash or check in the CCS office (CMA 3.102) during business hours (Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm) or online by Visa, MasterCard or Discover. To pay online go to http://www.utdirect.utexas.edu/txshop/ and click on Communication Career Services.
After we have received your payment we will create/reactivate your CareerSource profile and send you an email notification with instructions for completing your profile online.
CCS New Alumni Grace Period: CCS offers a grace period to new graduates; for the first six months following graduation communication alumni may continue to receive services free of charge. In order to take advantage of new alumni grace period services you must (a) have an active CareerSource account and up-to-date profile and (b) change your student status to alumnus status upon graduation. Otherwise, your account will be deactivated.
