CCS Student/Alumni Registration Agreement
Waiver/Ethics Statement/Information Release
By entering my information and uploading my resume(s) into the CCS CareerSource database, I agree to use the CareerSource system to submit my own personal application materials to employers at my discretion as part of the CCS on-campus interviewing program. If I choose, I may also make my resume available for employer searches by making it viewable in the Additional Information section of My Profile. The information contained on this form, in my CareerSource account, and on my resume(s) presents, to the best of my knowledge, accurate and truthful information about me. I recognize and understand that the CareerSouce database is maintained on a non-UT Austin server and system (CSO Interfase) and that the information I enter and upload in CareerSource is not connected to information maintained or housed on UT Austin servers. While employers using CareerSource must agree to abide by the CCS Employer Recruiting Policies and Guidelines, I understand that CCS has no responsibility for or control over employers who may distribute my resume or information therein without my consent to parties outside the scope of this release.
CareerSource Account Maintenance
I understand that in order to complete my registration I must complete my CareerSource profile. Further, I will update the contents of my CCS CareerSource account as necessary, or at least once each semester, to indicate my interest in remaining registered with CCS and to maintain the accuracy of all information contained in my account.
CCS may de-activate my account and prohibit my use of services anytime they determine that information contained in my account is inaccurate, that I have not updated my account in any six-month period, or that I have not appropriately adhered to any policy stated in this agreement.
CCS No-Show Policy
I understand that all appointments and interviews I arrange with the CCS advisors or with employers must be kept. With regard to the On-campus Interviewing Program, I will be considered a no-show if I fail to appear for a scheduled interview, or if I cancel within 24 hours prior to the day of the interview. All no-shows require that I mail a letter of apology to the interviewer and deliver a copy of the letter to CCS within ten days of the scheduled interview. After my first no-show, my account will be de-activated and I will be suspended from all CCS on-campus interviewing and other services until copies of my letter are received by CCS and by the interviewer. After my second no-show, my file will be de-activated and CCS will suspend all services, including interviewing, for the subsequent six months, and I must meet with the CCS Manager before I will be eligible to continue to receive services. Again, in both cases, a letter of apology must be written to the interviewer with a copy to CCS within 10 days of the scheduled interview. I understand that no-shows reflect badly on CCS, The College of Communication, and UT Austin.
Students cancelling or "no showing" three career advising appointments will be banned from seeing an advisor until the following semester.
