Each of the departments in the College of Communication consistently earns top rankings for research, teaching excellence and creative work.
Facilities
The Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, the home of the College of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin, consists of three buildings: CMA houses college classrooms, department, faculty and administrative offices; CMB houses college studio space, KUT radio and KLRU public television; and CMC houses Texas Student Publications, the Daily Texan, KVRX Student Radio and KVR-TV.
Jeffrey Awards
In 2006 the College created the Robert C. Jeffrey Awards to honor the extraordinary unsung heroes who work tirelessly, and without expectation of recognition, to make the College of Communication a place of excellence. Advisory Council
Established in 1969, the College of Communication Advisory Council is comprised of communication industry leaders who support excellence in communication education.
