College Facilities

The College is located in the northwest portion of the main campus on the corner of Guadalupe and Dean Keeton streets and is within easy walking distance to the rest of the university.

The Jesse H. Jones Communication Center is the home of the College of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin. The college is made up of the Departments of Advertising, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Communication Studies, Radio Television Film, and the School of Journalism. There are three buildings in the center. The CMA Building houses college classrooms, department, faculty and administrative offices. CMB Building houses college studio space, KUT radio and KLRU public television. And the CMC building houses Texas Student Publications, the Daily Texan, KVRX Student Radio and KVR-TV. Also a plaza for outdoor use is bounded on three sides by College buildings.

For more information about the college (i.e., Directory, Floor Maps, Events, and Resources), use one of the conveniently located Information Kiosks throughout the college complex. Additionally, you can access the kiosk system online.

Instructional Media Center

The Instructional Media Center (CMA 5.110) provides 4 main services to the UT College of Communication: Audio-Visual equipment for checkout, Playback Room where you can leave materials on reserve for students to review, Duplication System which can duplicate most video and audio media formats as well as a Media Archive with prerecorded media on a wide variety of subjects.

Meeting Rooms

All rooms are equipped with a calibrated DLP projector and a small media console which includes a DV/VHS player, a DVD player, and laptop connections. Some rooms also feature Mac & PC computers and document cameras.
