Audiology (Au.D., Ph.D.) – ranked ninth by U.S. News & World Report (March 2008)
Speech Pathology (MA, Ph.D.) – ranked ninth by U.S. News & World Report (March 2008)
Communication Studies
In 1996, the National Communication Association ranked the following Communication Studies programs in the top three:
• Applied Communication
• Communication Theory and Research
• Critical/Cultural Media Studies
• Organizational Communication
• Rhetoric
In May 2001, the Communication Studies program was ranked first (according to department chairs) and second (according to faculty) among 27 schools in the International Communication Association’s “Evaluating Doctoral Programs in Communication.”
