ABOUT OSR

The Office of Survey Research was established at The University of Texas at Austin in 1986 to produce expert survey and field research for academic, government, non-profit, and business clients. Operating under the Annette Strauss Institute, OSR employs a staff of experienced researchers, interviewers, and analysts. OSR provides research assistance to both educational and institutional endeavors using the latest technology in computer-assisted research.

OSR conducts phone surveys, face-to-face interviews, cognitive interviews, focus groups, internet and mail surveys, and has experience in reaching specialized populations including young people and Spanish language households. OSR surveys have enabled ground-breaking research in the areas of women's health, political participation, and transportation. Clients have included state and federal agencies, academic researchers, foundations, policy institutes and local governments.
